If You Lived Like You Had 1 Day Left

What would change if today was your last?

Would you still count calories like they define your worth?
Refresh your bank account like it holds your value?
Replay that last text wondering if you said too much?

Or would you finally stop giving your attention to meaningless shit.

And instead turned to delicious things.
Allowing yourself to feel everything fully........ the sun beaming on your face (even if its a little too hot), take in every lyric and beat from the song playing in the car, appreciating the water slipping through your hands...

Would you stop filtering your truth to make others comfortable?

Would you stop waiting for the perfect timing, and DO SHIT.

The silly little funny thing is THAT

You
do have just one day left - over and over again until you don't.

Every morning, you wake up with an expected 24 hours of life.

A precious gift I would say. We tend to take it for granted don't we?

Sooo why are we still trying to be “realistic.”

Trying not to look too passionate. Too intense. Too much. OR doing too much to not seem like youre not doing enough.

Maybe you don't wanna care too much to keep you safe from disappointment.

As if playing it safe is going to make you... make it out alive...

But what if today - just today - you lived like it was your last?

What if you painted or went to the park for the sake of playing, said what you've been holding back even if your voice quivers, stopped asking for permission (from who...????), and danced aka just moved your body even if you looked silly?

What if you stopped trying to protect yourself from pain… and chose to sit with it?

Trust sweetie you are strong enough to feel pain. You're not gonna die.

If you lived like you had one day left…

Maybe you’d finally meet the version of you that’s been waiting underneath the fear.

Maybe you’d finally let your magic out.
